I thought it'd be cool to share what some of my favorite books are. I love reading and feel like perhaps giving you some insight into what kind of stories I like could help you get a feel for what type of person I am.

Brother of the More Famous Jack

A book about a young woman in England and her connection to a large, eccentric family. Something about this book just sticks with me. I revisit it once every couple of years. A perfect coming-of-age story, which is one of my favorite genres.

Lonesome Dove

A book about a cattle drive from Texas to Montana but really a book about everything: love, life, loss. There were times when reading this book that I felt like I was just watching the story unfold like a movie. I wish I could read it for the first time again.

My Brilliant Friend

This is really a recommendation for the whole Neapolitan Quartet. The simple way to explain the quartet is that it's about the friendship between two women and how it evolves over their lives- but like Lonesome Dove, it's about how complicated and nuanced life is.
